Your pup's safety is the first and foremost consideration during our session. If we are not in an area where it would be safe to have your dog off leash, then we will keep them safe and keep the leash on. I can remove all leashes and collars during the editing process.

While it would help if your pupper has some basic sit and stay commands, if they don't we will work around that by finding what motivates them to listen and behave.   Whether it's food/treats or toys or something else, I will take the time to connect best with your dog so that we get the best photos possible.

Well, for starters, before your session make sure your pupper gets a nice long walk.   Once the session starts, we can start out with all the action shots to work off some of that energy.   Then, after a refreshing drink and maybe a tiny snack for your pupper, we'll do some of the more posed shots.    Either way, your dog will be the lead on how the session goes and I have no doubt we'll get some beautiful photographs.

Most definitely!  Please contact me and I will get your pupper scheduled ASAP.   If they are not very mobile, we will work with that and I can come to your home or we can hold the session with a minimum of walking.

Let me know during our planning session and I will spend the first little while of our photo session giving your pup time to get used to me, the camera, the camera sounds and the general area in which we will be photographing.    They can have plenty of time to sniff around and get the lay of the land before we put them to work.

I try to schedule our sessions in either the early morning, just after sunrise or in the early evening about an hour or so before sunset to avoid our 'face of the sun' temperatures.    If we get rained out of our session, we will reschedule it ASAP.

You should bring your pet's leash and a collar rather than a harness, if possible.   Their favorite treats and their favorite toys would also be great.  Definitely bring you and your pet 🙂  And bring an expectation of a lot of fun!     I will provide water and a water bowl and I'll have some treats as well.  If you dress your pet up in fabulous outfits, feel free to bring those as well since I love playing dress-up with dogs.

Well, I've covered what to bring in the previous question but if you are planning on grooming  your pupper, it's best to do that at least 2 days before the session to allow time for the new haircut to settle in a bit.   If your dog isn't good with sit or stay, now is an excellent time to refresh those lessons - a few minutes at a time a few times a day leading up to the session.

You should also think about what you would like to do with the artwork we are creating.  Do you have walls that need gorgeous photos of your furkids?  Do you want a brag book to put on the coffee table?   Do you want something for your desk at work?    Give some thought to this and we'll discuss it during your pre-session consultation.

Of course!  I'd love to capture you and your dog having a fun photo shoot.    If you want to be in the photos, please give thought to what you will wear for the session.  Sticking to neutral, solid colors is always a sure bet but if you are bright and flamboyant, let that shine as well.

Yes!   I've done cats, dogs, rabbits but I'm also open to photographing less traditional pets as well.   It is SO much fun to plan a shoot for a hamster, a snake, a bird or what ever critters you have made part of your family.
